Installing Master Agents

6.0 is also CD4. Just execute install_master.sh to install Master Agent for Solaris.

For README look at ControlCenter 6.0 Planning and Installation Guide Volume 1 (page 200 ff).

You can order new CC 6.0 CDs by sending an email to software@emc.com.

You should be able to point legacy 5.2 agents at a 6.0 infrastructure and then patch them to 6.0 via the Console.

Please note CC 5.2 SP5 is End-of-Service-Life since Jan 31, 2009.

I have InstallMA.zip file for the Solaris.Is ECC5.2 Master agents are same as ECC6.0 Master Agents(compatible)? because I think lost the ECC 6.0 CD4.
So Iam using ECC5.2 Master Agents CD(InstallMA.zip file for Solaris).

Can you please let me know.

I agree to Seamus, you could also install old 5.2 master agent -> upgrade to 6.0 and then apply patch to the agent via console.

Simply install the 5.2 Master Agent on the Solaris host (point it at the 6.0 CC Server during the install). Then, once you see the host in the Console > right-click > Upgrade > this will upgrade the Master Agent to 6.0 (assuming the 6.0 Master Agent is in the media repository (which it should be)).

Iam installing the Solaris Master agent(ECC 5.2) for ECC6.0,in that case what patch do I need to update.

I noticed that the Solaris Master Agent for ECC5.2 and ECC6.0 are same in KB(2200).Are they one and the same?
