Adding new FA's to a Windows Host

Question

Hi All,
I know there is quite a few threads regarding Mapping LUNs to FA's etc.

However my specific question is that I have windows hosts I would like to provide with additional FA's (currently 2 and want to add another 2). We used powerpath fully licensed, would this be a disruption to services?

I have had another host that had 1 FA and a 2nd was added, but emcmpio generated some event log errors after the disk rescan was done. Is this normal? or should I have rebooted the host?

this will not cause disruption of service, but Windows/PowerPath may prove to be stubborn and not detect the new FAs, may require a reboot.

the same can be done online(mask to new FA and discover new paths) at least in HP-UX. I am not familair with windows.. Ideally windows too.
