Where are you trying to run the commands from, If the gold copy is present in the Remote side are you running these commands from Symcli server on the remote side or from local side.
I remember seeing something similar once but don't remember exactly.

I just done a full establish on all the rdf device groups manually, issue resolved.

It could be due to failed disk, or failed script. Open a ticket with support and give them the debugs.
