difference between SymApi vs SymCli
Hi
what is difference between symapi and symcli. I am not able to find the symapi documents in the powerlink.
Can you please provide th elinks to find the documents.

Yup AFAIK. That's why symcli offers a "symapi server" that simply exposes the APIs over the network and allows running symcli commands in a "client/server" configuration.

AFAIK the SymCLI is the commandline interface to interact with a Symm. SymCLI uses the SymAPI for that purpose. So you, as an enduser won't see the SymAPI, since you will only use the CLI.
Gents, am I correct here ?

In the "Array Management" guide at the very beginning, provides a brief explanation.
Figure 1: SYMCLI host/array interaction SYMCLI resides on a host system to monitor and perform control operations on Symmetrix arrays. SYMCLI commands are invoked from the host operating system command line (shell). The SYMCLI commands are built on top of SYMAPI library functions, which use system calls that generate low-level I/O SCSI commands to the storage arrays.
