How to migrate from thick to thin within a Vmax array?
Hi all,
Could anyone advise on what options are available to migrate from thick luns to thin luns within a VMAX? I don't think this is supported by the VMAX virtual lun migration utility? (I believe that Powerpath ME is an option, but are there any array based tools?)
Many thanks!
Mark

how about you clone thick to thin, it requires system downtime though.
Edit: you may actually do it without downtime by utilizing PowerPath Migration Enabler in conjunction with TimeFinder/Clone.

I think you can use Virtual LUN technology.

i was hoping for that as well, there was a major Enginuity release back in December that introduced some cool features but i did not see anything new for Virtual Lun Migration.
