R1 and R2 device to same host

What I need to take care, if I give R1 and R2 device to the same host ?

The host system is Solaris.

header on R1 and R2 are the same so in order to mount R2 on the same host as R1 you need to change vgid, private region on the disk that contains volume group information. Are you using veritas/zfs ?

Just curious what would require the R1 and R2 to be visible to the same host. Any method of mounting them both without conflicting is going to require you to split mirroring so you can write to the R2. Would you be able to do the same thing with a snapshot or clone of the R2 so you can maintain your mirror?

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but I'm really curious about what you would be trying to achieve.

Yes, absolutely I am going to split it.

Working in a lab environment cause me to do reply these types of requests.
