Creating an alert in IT Assistant

Thanks, I did look at it briefly and didn't know if there were .mibs or what-not for the type of alert I am looking for.  I'll take a closer look at it.

IT Assistant allows you to add your own categories and alerts from SNMP sources. Click on Alerts->Categories/Sources from the top level menu. On the resulting screen right click on the Alert node (root node) to add a new category. The wizard will help u to add new alert category.  The help page of this screen contains more detailed information
