Dell Mgmt Plugin for VMWare - Unable to register vCenter server

We are running vCenter/vSphere v6.0 and are trying to deploy the Dell plugin appliance. After i deployed the OVF and configured the IP of the appliance, i was able to login to the appliance portal to upload the license which worked fine. However, now when i try to connect the vCenter by IP or by host name, i get the message:

"Could not contact the given vCenter server. Check the vCenter status and IP/hostname."

I can access vCenter no problem and both of these appliances are running on the same physical host and on the same virtual switch. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
