Dell T100 Server Diagnostics Utilities not available

When I boot my T100 server and attempt to access the Diagnostic Utilities, F10, I am notified that they are not available. I bought the server new a few (5) years ago and must have removed the Diagnostic Utilitiy when I installed Fedora ver. 14.

Is there a method/process I can use to re-install the Diagnostic Utilities?

My Bios is ver. 1.4.1. I have the original Systems Management Tools disk ver. 6.2

I only have a single 250gb HDD. All of it seems to be dedicated to my Linux install.

BTW, my server is running just fine. I have not made any H/W changes.

Hello

Is there a method/process I can use to re-install the Diagnostic Utilities?

I don't think it can be done without reinstalling the operating system. The utility partition is an installation option when using the SBUU to install an operating system. If you have available space on the drive you may be able to create a new partition without reinstalling the OS, but I doubt it. Here is the SBUU download and manual:

www.dell.com/support/home/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=NF1CT

www.dell.com/support/home/product-support/product/dell-systms-build-and-update-utility-v1.6/manuals

Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me.

I did download SBUU ver 1.6 and do not see any options to re-install the Diagnostic Utility. So I might get a second HDD and use SBUU to initialize it for a new Operating System and include the Diagnostic Utility.

Curious as to why you need it? The diagnostics can be downloaded and run from CD, diskette, USB, or even booted to over a network (PXE) or DRAC. Certainly isn't worth any amount of work or inconvenience to install.

I did not know that the Dell Diagnostics could be run from a CD. Now I do. Thanks for the tip. I found this version. Dell 32 Bit Diagnostics, v.5118A0, 5118.3

I downloaded it and burnt it to a CD and was able to run it on my T100.
