DMC Requirements .Net and Futures

I'm hearing rumors of unpatched .Net 3.5 being an absolute requirement. When can we expect an updated DMC to work well with a fully patched .Net3.5 install? Also, if anyone has any other anecdotal information for installation tips, please post. Thanks!

Does DMC do nothing if I installed .net 3.5 and then when to ms updates and patched everything?

Right...sorry for the bad link.  Your link is correct.

DMC won't work with .Net 3.5 SP1.  We are adding support for that later this year.  SQL SP3 is also not supported.  I don't know of any other problems with patches.

The Dell DMC known issues page specifically mentions that .NET 3.5 SP1 is supported (under the 'Recommended Minimum Hardware Configuration for Dell Management Console' section).

Is this true?

Looks like 3.5 sp1 is NOW supported as of Version - 1.0.2
Release Date - October 2009

When I first posted there was a type-o in the documentation that said 3.5 sp1 was supported but in reality it was not. Glad to see Dell has made DMC compatable with 3.5 sp1! Now we just need Server 2008 support...please!

Well, the DMC FAQ page still says SP1 for .NET 3.5 is not supported; hopefully that just needs updating, Rob can you confirm please?

One last thing - the Support Information Matrix for Dell Management Console 1.0.2 page now mentions SP3 is supported for both full  and express versions of SQL Server 2005.  Is this correct?

Any news on IE8 compatibility also?
