Downgrade DRAC III Firmware
We're running 3.38 on some 1750s and the console redirect feature isn't working. I've seen several references to "downgrade the firmware to 3.35" and a couple of mentions to "racadm racreset" but don't know how to put the two together.
I got the 3.35 firmware from http://ftp.us.dell.com/esm/RAC_FRMW_WIN_R113524.EXE (if anyone else needs it) so what are the exact steps I need to take here?
Thanks.

Thanks for posting! The "racadm racreset" is run from the OS in a command prompt once you have OMSA installed on the server. As for the the firmware update, just run the EXE from inside Windows.

Turns out the firmware I have (see above), doesn't work on the PowerEdge 1750. Where can I find the 3.35 firmware for my DRAC?
Thanks.

If you go find the latest firmware and click the link on the left that says ERA/O, you can select the type of download. Click the Dell Update Package for your OS if you want to run it from there, or the Hard Drive file if you want to update with racadm or inside the DRAC web interface. Then to the right of the Download button there is a link for "Other Versions". Click that and you will be taken to a list of all versions available for that firmware.
Actually, that is old enough that the floppy option will also be available, so here is a link for that. Make sure you read the installation instructions about formatting the floppy as bootable and such.

Thank you! This seems not so helpful to me.
