Hardware Failure Reporting
Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if someone could post a link or even give instructions on how to set it up so that when a hard drive/memory etc fails in a server that is managed by the Dell Management Console 1.0.2, I will receive an email notification of the issue.
Please help me out!
Thank you,
CLovell

I don't know where the people are - I know there are people here that do. I would recommend calling Dell Technical Support and asking to speak with the OpenManage/OMSA Group. They can help you set it up or answer any questions you might have, and there is no charge whether in or out of warranty. It will also be someone in the States taking your call.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I thought I had it going right.
Now my problem is that I need to present an example of hardware failure to my superiors, and I have examples ready and I believe I have the correct "rules" in the DMC edited to do so, but I am unable to force a client policy update.
On the server that is running DMC, I opened the Altiris Agent settings and hit the "send" button and then the "update" button. Now under the configuration area of that window, the requested time is current, but the changed time is almost 24 hours behind and it hasnt updated since!
Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Any suggestions are welcome as I'm running out of time to complete this
Thanks again!
