Idrac 8 express license
Hi,
I have a Dell R630 XL, I am trying to configure the idrac web interface to allow me to update the firmware. The networking is configured and it responds to pings. I have enabled IPMI on this interface. I am unable to reach the idrac port thru the web. So my last guess is that it might be a licensing issue. Do I need a license just to access the idrac web. I thought you only needed a license if you are going to use the virtual console.
All help is appreciated.

Hi,
Could you try perform a soft reset on the iDRAC via racadm; https://dell.to/2PJh917 and try to access the iDRAC. If soft reset doesn't work, then probably you would need to do a hard reset, and reconfigure iDRAC.
Alternately, try connecting directly from host to client network port and try accessing it.
It's not a license issue.
Let me know if it helps.
