iDRAC 9 - Express to Enterprise Upgrade

Question

Hi all,

I have a new PowerEdge R540 server that came with iDRAC9 Express (I forgot to include Enterprise when I built the configuration).

Is it simply a licence required to unlock the iDRAC Enterprise features (primarily the virtual console)?

If so, is it just a matter of acquiring the following licence and entering a new licence key?

Hi, Yes, you just need to install the license to unlock the additional features.

Perfect. Thanks for confirming. I just wanted to make sure it was only a software/licence restriction (and not the wrong hardware) before approaching our Dell account manager.

I am encountering the same issue with the 4 x R760 iDRAC9 16G Express edition and need to upgrade to the Enterprise edition. What SKU is required to upgrade my licenses?
