iDrac check for updates -- LC023: Cannot access network share
In iDrac 9 -> maintenance -> System update -> Manual update -> Location Type "HTTPS"-> type in HTTPS Address: downloads.dell.com
I have multiple servers where I click 'Test network Connection' and I get the below error.
"LC023: Cannot access network share.
Check network share access credentials (IP address, user name, password, share type, and so on). Refer to your product documentation for more details."
I can get to downloads.dell.com manually on a PC which redirects me to www.dell.com/support/home/en-us.
Any help on would be appreciated.

Hello, R530 is about 10 years old, we can offer much update wise, I’m afraid. I would recommend using DRM and creating bootable ISO.
Create a bootable ISO and Server Update Utility from Dell EMC Repository Manager (DRM)

Mine has internet connection and testing by clicking "Test network configuration" works fine! But it will NOT grab an update package!
LC023: Cannot access network share. Check network share access credentials (IP address, user name, password, share type, and so on). Refer to Lifecycle Controller Profile documentation for more details.

Hello,
Can you let us know the server model you are working with and the BIOS and iDRAC version you are on?
Try test Connectivity from iDRAC
Use the built-in diagnostics:
Log into iDRAC. iDRAC Settings > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics
Run: Ping on downloads.dell.com
Ensure outbound HTTPS (port 443) is allowed from the iDRAC IP to:

I'm experiencing the same issue with two Dell M630 blades.
LC023: Cannot access network share. Check network share access credentials (IP address, user name, password, share type, and so on). Refer to Lifecycle Controller Profile documentation for more details.
In iDRAC:
Click 'Update and Rollback'
Click 'HTTPS'
HTTP Address -> 'downloads.dell.com'
Click 'Check for Update'
I have no issue updating a M640 blade connected to the same network.
Oops... forgot to include firmware details for M630.
BIOS Version: 2.19.0
Firmware Version: 2.86.86.86
Lifecycle Controller Firmware: 2.86.86.86

Have you tried the steps below?
Try clear browser cache
Try different browser

@DELL-Charles R
I realize I am at the latest versions. You suggested to another user to update the bios to latest, where I am at the latest. Being on the latest bios does not resolve the issue.
I have attempted with three browsers (on Windows):
Chrome
Edge
Firefox
All result in the following error:
I get this error on an R630 and R730, I do not get the error when attempting to use a device running iDRAC 9 (e.g. R740).
Thanks.

Hello,
Is it only 13gen servers?
Do you have any 13gen that it does work on?
Try selecting HTTPS and use the IP below:
