IT-Assistant with Remote SQl-Server only find DMI-managed Systems
Hi,
we´re running IT-Assistant 6.5 on a Windows 2003 Server and a MS-SQL-Server running on a Windows 2000 Server.
The Remote SQL Server is configured by a documentation named "Remote_SQL_Server_Use_with_IT_Assistant.doc", downloaded by DELL.
(http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=pes_oms&message.id=5376 :-)
If I use the locally installed SQL-Database shipped with IT-Asistant there are no problems. I scaned the defined determination ranges and the IT-Assistant
lists all found CIM-managed (DELL Open Manage Client 7.1.382) and DMI-managed (DELL Open Manage Client 6.1.1) Systems in the Desktop column.
If I use IT-Assistant with a Remote SQL Server it´s always listing only the DMI-managed Systems running DELL Open Manage Client 6.1.1. For a Test I disabled DMI in the ConfigServices.exe. Only CIM and DCOM were activated. Now the IT-Assistant didn´t find any System.
I activated DMI again and made a new scan of the determination ranges. CIM is activated, too. Now the IT-Assistant found all DMI-managed Systems again, but not one CIM-managed Systems.
We want to use DELL Open Manage Client 7.1.382 (CIM-Technology) and run our IT-Assistant use by a Remote SQL Server.
What´s our Problem?
I would be thankfull for any help.
Bye
Jake
