The Management Station (IT Assistant) is a Windows only program so you have to install it on a Windows box. This program will monitor the SuSE boxes using SNMP. Please make sure you have installed the Management Node software (Open Manage Software Administrator) on the SuSE boxes for IT Assistant to recognize and monitor them completely.

This post contains information about setting up the software

Just wanted to add, in case it helps you: You may even access the web interface to IT Assistant (Management Station) from a Linux system, using the Firefox browser.

Thanks for posting!  After the installs are done, the main thing is to get the SUSE servers to discover.  Make sure you configure your snmpd.conf file to the same community name as the ITA system, and point their destination IP address at the ITA system.
