OMSA on Windows 2003 R2?

I guess I'll post my question again....

Does anyone know how to get Server Administrator to work on Windows 2003 R2?  I get the following error when I try to install 4.5:

"This is not a supported server.  Server Administrator can only be installed on supported servers."

The funny thing is that I had SA installed on this server with Windows 2000, before wiping the system and rebuilding it with 2003 R2.  The server is a PE2400.

I did a chat session with a Dell rep yesterday, who assured me there were no problems installed 4.5 on R2, but.......

Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
Thanks,
Joe

Have you tried installing OMSA before using the second disk and upgrading from SP1 to R2?
Worked fine for me.

Too late for that.  Didn't think of it during the install, and now the server is in production.

I think its pretty annoying that something as signficant as their server management utility has this kind of issue, and Dell provides NO information on workarounds or status of the next version.

Thanks,

Joe

What version of OM are you installing? Maybe it doesn't support the 2400 anymore?

Actually, I downloaded (again) the most recent version of OMSA I could find on the Dell website, and that version worked.  I think in retrospect I had version 4.4 rather than 4.5.

It is unfortunate that finding the correct version of something as important as OMSA is reduced to a crapshoot.

Thanks for replying.
