Openmanage Server Administrator Managed Node v7
Hi
I have an ESXi 5 server (Dell r720). On the ESXi side I can confirm that:
- Dell-configuration-vib v5 is installed
- Dell-license-vib v5 is installed
- Dell-esx-boot-options v500.1.0.000000 is installed and
- Openmanage v7 is installed
I have proceeded by downloading the following file from Dell's website: OM-SrvAdmin-Dell-Web-WIN-7.0.0-4741_A00.exe
I tried to install this on a Windows 7 enterprise w/SP1 desktop, but got an error when it ran the prerequisite checking. The error stated that the hwcheck program has stopped working and as such the install can't go ahead.
Does anyone know where I have gone wrong?

Good morning, Karl.
OpenManage will only run on a server with a server OS. In this case, either Server 2003, 2008, or 2012. If you want to monitor from your PC, you will need OpenManage Essentials. Here is a link that will give you further information and the download link:
