OpenManage Server Administrator V1.8 - using lots of memory.

Just upgraded a server to 1GB ram from 512 and upgraded to OMSA 1.8 from 1.5. I now see upon reboot that OMSA churns for quite a while after boot and ends up using 300+ MB of ram and then never giving it back. Is this normal? Doesn't seem like it to me. Should I be contacting support? Upgrading to V1.9? Other?

I don't recall the older version doing this. I didn't add the memory to the system so that OMSA could just take it away.

Help.

Please go ahead and uninstall version 1.8 and install version 1.9.  If that does not resolve the problem, please respond with the service tag and operating system and/or go ahead and call support.

Thank you for using Dell Community Forums!

Where you able to find a fix to this problem?  I am having the same issue on our PE2650.  It is using over 900MB of RAM

No fix found. Never got a response back from Dell via this forum. I have it on my "holiday" to do list to directly call support to attempt to get an answer. At this point all of my older servers are still running older versions.
