probbably something to do with SQL but not sure
Hi,
I'm new to ITA i just installed version 8.0 of ITA and when i perform a discovery for every IP separately everything is fine but when i try one range with a #.#.#.* it stays at 42 % to 43 % for a few(by few i mean somewhere between 2 and 10) minutes and then stops discovering only 2 of the 8 DELL clients I'm trying it on. I installed the SQL server 2005 express that i came with the management station software.
During those few minutes if i try to do any settings concerning discovery/inventory i get a message:
Error Code 1104
Error Message:Failed to establish connection with the Network Monitoring service
i tried to look for error 1104 on dell with no success but I found error 1104 in SQL is an error saying that the table is too big or something like that

You only have 8 servers. Can you enter an IP discovery range for each of the servers and try to see if it is one particular box that is getting hung up each time?
Is this box up to date with the latest SP's etc, that your "good" boxes are?

Hmmm...was the switch a Dell PowerConnect switch? What model number? I think only Power Connect are supported.
If you go to the troubleshooting tool and do an SNMP test on the switch, does it respond with a pass?
