Hi,

You can refer to this article to setup the email alert on iDRAC9: https://dell.to/351PUXR;

Here's the user guide manual just in case you need it: https://dell.to/3hMPud6

Let me know if you have questions.

Hello,

please can you use port 587 instead 465? And try to put SMTP Ip address instead DNS name.

Thanks
Marco

Hi,

This situation mostly occurs in 4.XX iDRAC versions. If the settings were made properly in 3.XX versions, this problem did not occur much. I think it may stem from the 41st article on page 13 on the release note here https://dell.to/38rNmnU;

"After iDRAC is upgraded to version 4.00.00.00 or later, you may stop receiving encrypted email alerts from iDRAC, if the external email server does not support encryption. iDRAC firmware version 4.00.00.00 or later introduces a user-selectable encryption option and the default protocol is StartTLS. To start receiving email messages again, disable the email encryption by using the following RACADM command: racadm set idrac.RemoteHosts. ConnectionEncryption None"

Hope this will work!

but after all, I can turn off encryption in the mail server settings, and I did it through radcam, but there is no result

Hello Suleyman05,

Try with these settings and check your results:

    https://dell.to/3hVWKmL

    port 587

    set ConnectionEncryption STARTTLS

    Then edit the Sender to be the gmail address so it's not trying to send mail as the iDRAC which gmail will probably block

    Apply
