You can monitor the server's temperature with DELL OpenManage Power Center: http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/power-cooling/w/wiki/3534.dell-openmanage-power-center.aspx . You can set temperature thresholds and send snmp traps to OpenManage Essentials...
Also.. if you have installed OpenManage Server Administrator, you can check the server's temperature from command line "omreport chassis temps" (from server). You can make a script and than schedule it to check the temps..
