Silent mode for PE 2900

Question

Hi!   I have another question for our PE 2900:   How can i activate, sleep times for HDD, CPU...   It's used vor engeneering data and so it hasn't got a lot of work all the time and at night it could sleep. How can i activate power safe features?   thx Dirm

There's no way to do this within the OpenManage product itself, the only way to do something like this would be to initate a GPO if you're using a windows enviornment and have it idle the HDDs and anything else you would like to idle.

Due to security and legal issues I wouldn't be able to tell you exaclty how to push the GPO out. What you may want to do is search online for people with the same issue you are having and you should be able to find something on how to impliement a GPO to ensure power savings.   Thanks,

Hi!   We've solved the noise Problem :-)   Big Room-Ventilator in front of the cabinet, now ambient temperature is about 25°C.   the cause, Powerconsumtion, is still high, but I'll search the web.   thx Dirm
