Start IT Assistant in Browser ??!!!

Hello,
 
i´ve one question concening IT Assistant.
 
 
It is possible to start it ín my Browser ?
 
If so, how can i use the IT Assistant by my browser ?
 
What must i do and how is the webadress ?

First, how are you actually running Server Administrator on a non-Dell server? That's what would be running for the site https://localhost:1311.

That's more than likely the cause of the SNMP problems.  Specifically, the default options include the Broadcom and/or Intel SNMP Agents which are a pain in the best of circumstances.
 
If you did something to get Server Administrator running on anything besides a Dell PowerEdge server ( https://localhost:1311) then that's causing the SNMP service to fail to start.  If you are actually using a Dell PowerEdge server then you'll want to take the following steps.
 
  1. Login to the IT Assistant machine from the console as the local administrator or an account in the Local Admins group if that is not possible.  If using Remote Desktop, connect by entering mstsc /console in the Run prompt.

  2. Stop the SNMP service which should automatically stop any of the IT Assistant services that happen to be running.
    .
  3. Open Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel and click Modify next to the OpenManage Server Administrator entry.
    .
  4. Choose Custom Installation and deselect the Broadcom and/or Intel SNMP agents. Leave the other components alone.
    .
  5. After the installation finishes, confirm that Server Administrator opens correctly.  You cannot logon with a blank password for the administrator account in case this is a new installation of Windows.  (https://localhost:1311  or https://ip.add.re.ss:1311)

  6. Open the Services console (services.msc) and double-click SNMP to edit it's properties.
    .
  7. Open the Traps tab, enter the community name you intend to use (no spaces, case-sensitive), and click the Add to List button. 
    .
    Under Trap Destinations enter the IP address of the computer running IT Assistant.  If the IT Assistant computer uses DHCP enter the hostname instead.
    .
  8. Open the Security tab, uncheck the Send Authentication Trap checkbox.  Click the Add button, enter the same community name from step 7, specify either Read/Write or Read/Create privileges, and click Add one more time.

    Specify the community one last time in the Community Name box at the bottom, click Add, specify Accept SNMP packets from any host, and click Add then OK.
    .
  9. Restart the SNMP service and close the Services console. 
    .
  10. Configure the SNMP service exactly this way on any systems or devices that you want IT Assistant to monitor.  Restart the service whenever you make any changes to the SNMP configuration.

Since you have just restarted the SNMP service, IT Assistant should restart automatically. If not restart DSM IT Assistant Connection Service and DSM IT Assistant Network Monitor now.

If you are still unable to login or the SNMP or IT Assistant services cannot start correctly it may be necessary to remove IT Assistant and reinstall just that OpenManage program. 

If IT Assistant still fails to work, remove IT Assistant again, uninstall/reinstall SNMP from the Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Add/Remove Windows Components - Management and Monitoring Tools section, and then reinstall IT Assistant.  Everything should work perfectly but if it doesn't call Dell Support and ask for the OpenManage group.

2607 is the default web server port used by IT Assistant (ITA).
 
Did you modify it to use a non-default port during ITA installation? In case you did, substitute that in the URL https:// : . Example: If you configured 5678 then use https:// :5678 .
 
Also you could try restarting the IT Assistant Connection Service in case it helps. The service may not instantly respond after the status shows started. Give it a few seconds before opening the  URL from the browser.
