using public community
In ITA do you have to use public or could you use another name something like ST_55Water?

Thanks for posting! You don't have to use public, but it is recommended for your initial setup. Bear in mind that the community name is case sensitive. You can change the community name that ITA will watch in Preferences -> General Settings -> Web Server.

That's great, but I do not see Preferences option. I see View, Manage, Actions, Alerts, Discovery, Tools. I know I have to change the servers SNMP from public to something else, but where on ITA?

you can change the SNMP string used under
Discovery and Monitoring
Ranges
edit the include range you want to change it on and then change the SNMP settings.
