You likely need to run a space reclaim on the host.

When the host deletes data, the OS doesn't actually remove the blocks from the host filesystem, it just marks them as overwritable.  The storage array (any storage array not just Unity or even Dell) has no idea whether these blocks are still in use.  A space reclaim on the host will clean up those blocks.
