You should have received 2 Emails from Dell EMC or your distributor. Subject: "EMC License Authorization, LAC# xxxx, SO# xxx, PO# xxx", or something similar. One has the License Authorization Code (LAC) for the Unity Array itself including all features, the other one should have the LAC for these other licenses you mentioned above (AppSync, RP Basic).

Those mails contain links to activate the licenses. Just log in using your Dell EMC Support account and proceed with the activation and download the license files. The important one is the Unity, you need that LIC file to initialise your array.

The other ones are basic licenses, for example, for AppSync. These licenses come with every Unity, but not every customer makes use of the products.

Check the Installation Guide page 26 for how AppSync is licensed and how to obtain the license file.

https://support.emc.com/docu84991_AppSync-3.5-Installation-and-Configuration-Guide.pdf?language=en_US

The Unity includes the use of AppSync with certain restrictions (I think). I've never touched RecoverPoint, so I don't know what functionality is included. I think the VPLEX Migration product license is only if you wanted Dell EMC to provide a temporary loan of a VPLEX to help migrate data to Unity. This would have been part of your pre-sales discussion, and you would need to pay for professional services or a certified partner to set it up. There is no software license file for VPLEX.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Stephen

I have the lic file not the second one. How can I find if recoverpoint or appsync licenses are installed? Maybe the seller has inserted it before cause I cannot find any other license except the necessary and mandatory lic file
