Dual fabric connection issues
Hi Experts
i have somewhat of a tricky situation. we are in the middle of new storage deployment and having some strange connectivity issues between our DELL R730 hosts and our new DELLEMC unity 480 XT storage system. hosts are connected through 2 brocade switches 6502.
both paths logs into the array and can see existing Luns but whenever we create a new Lun our VMware hosts are unable to create a VMFS datastore on the LUN. i have checked for existing partitions and non exist. i have even cleared the partition to be safe using partutil.
it seems as we can only create VMFS datastores if we just have a connection to 1 of the switches.
from the VMkernel log we see the following error which indicates the HBA aborted the I/O
