We recently deployed a EMC Unity 480XT all flash system for a storage migration project to all flash. One issue I am running into is that our current storage has volumes that are direct attached (RDMs) and I am not sure as to the best way to proceed with the migration.

Current storage system: IBM XIV

New storage system: Dell EMC Unity 480XT

The EMC has been added to our vSphere 6.5 environment and all datastores/clusters configured. I can vMotion other VMs from the non-RDM volumes to the new storage without any issues. But I am not sure if there are any best practices or how to proceed with an RDM to Flash migration.
