Isilon to Unity NAS Migration

Hey folks got a question here and I think I know the answer (can't be done) but I want to ask the question any way.

I got an isilon with OneFS 7.X that hosts a NAS with SMB shares that uses local directory on the isilon for user mapping and access (no LDAP, NIS or AD in the environment). I want to migrate this to a Unity NAS with SMB sharing and bring over the ACL's and use the Unity NAS like I was doing the Isilon. I don't think this is possible I think to do what I need, I would need an LDAP server (at a minimum) to handle the mapping.

Can someone point me in the right direction here?

Thanks,

Clay!

Hello Clay,

You are correct that is not possible using OneFS built in migration tools.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
