It appears that the latest version of the firmware (4.2.0.9476662)) now has supported for SNMP V2. So once I can upgrade to this version I will monitor the unit using SNMP v2.

Hi All,
I can't believe that there is no one using SNMP v3 from an Unity 300F to HP OV NMMi for monitoring.

I dont think the engine ID configurable on Unity
From looking at the OpenView support forums you need to configure it on your NMM server in mgr.cnf
