Unity local file FTP access

Hi there …

I have customer wants to use umask  for local user on ftp access .

Does umask setting can be used for local user in FTP access ? or Umask can be set in SMB Access ?

This is what has been done ….

1 . Enable NAS server FTP access via Unisphere

2.Go to NAS server properties > Naming Service>Local files , the setting up Homedir (  wants to use homedir @ ftp )

3.set Homedir file umask 000

Example===

!:usera:/test_fs/test::::000:

--> Result was File created as rw-r-r-- (644) Expecting result was  777 but it did not .

What I think was in WP NAS Capabilities ( see below ) telling me that umask set ( setting @ Unisphere gui homedir file at NAS server Property)  is only available for  in SMB / NFS .. not in FTP.

For files created on SMB, the NFSv3 UNIX permissions are determined by the UMASK setting. For files created on NFS, the SMB ACLs are determined by ACL inheritance. ( Page 62 )

By default, new files have 666 permissions while new directories have 777 permissions. (page 61 )

But if that is the case ,,, why 501661 : Dell EMC Unity : How to configure FTP/SFTP with all features (User Correctable) suggesting using homedir setting @ftp ?

Please advise where can set umask for local user and work in ftp access .

thanks !
