In VNX while registering a host we used to set fail over mod setting based on host for AIX 1 etc. i registered Hosts in Unity there was no option asking for fail over mode etc. So in Unity dont we need to specify the fail over mode or what has changed in Unity that we dont need to specify a failover mode?

CLARiiON Optimized (CLAROpt) is the recommended policy setting. Failover mode 4 is recommended setting

Unity always uses failovermode 4
no need or option to configure differently
see the host configuration guides for details

Ok i did check host connectivity guide dont see any option for Unity failover mode. So it should be always 4.
Thanks Rainer,

If your host is VMware ESXi host, suggest that configure the storage path policy to RR in host level.
