Unity Vault drive error

How many failures does the Vault Drives have, and the system normally?

    This questions doesn't make sense

    Could you elaborate?

    Hi

Unity DPE Disk 0 - 3 is Vault Disk.

I think that boot volume and the vault space are stored.

I also think that Vault Disk is mirrored.

For example DPE disk1&Disk2 is faulted when occured at the same timing.

    Does Unity system down?

    or

    does Single SP down?

    Thanks

Start with the Unity HA white paper

I dont think the internal usage and protection of the vault drives is documented in detail

    Hi,

"Unity DPE Disk 0 - 3 is Vault Disk." - This is correct.

However, Unity SPs also have an internal disk each.

Vaulting happens to the Vault drives or the internal disk, depending on how the system goes down.

General speaking SPA boots from disks 0 and 2, SPB from 1 and 3 (mirrored).

Although unlikely, If disks 1 and 2 fail, the system should not go down as each SP still has one disk to run from.

If, for example, disks 0 and 2 go down, then SPA might eventually go down, but the system will stay up on SPB.

I am speaking in a very generic way here. More details should be available in the tech docs.
