UnityVSA OVA import issue

Hi,

I am trying to install unity VSA on VMware ESXi. When I am attempting to import the unity VSA ova file "UnityVSA-5.0.6.0.5.008.ova" into vCenter, it stuck at 66%. I have tried importing to ESXi6.7 and ESXi7.0 hosts and got the same result.

Please help.

    Hello utscuser,

    Do you have a physical unity system or are you trying to do the install using unity vsa cloud edition?  Have you tried to do the install on a ESXi 6.5 system to see if you are getting the same issue?

    I just tested importing this .ova to an ESXi 6.7 U3 host via vCenter Server and also directly to an ESXi 7.0 U1 host; both worked OK.

    Did you validate the SHA-256 checksum on the downloaded .ova file?

    File Name: UnityVSA-5.0.6.0.5.008.ova
    SHA-256: 63f6ac5b82015d51c78fe65fc94053b94a73eadc9cb73895830de65ddde25429
     
    Do you have enough free space on the target datastore? I used Thin disks for both of my tests.

    Switching to thin provision disk worked.

    I am trying to install the unity VSA cloud edition. Switching to thin provision disk solved the problem.
