VLAN Tagging on Dell Unity

Hello,

So I have 2 Unity storage arrays, 1 with VLAN tagging, and 1 without.

When I access a NAS server with no VLANS (ARRAY1) and look at the shares from the NAS server IP (Let's say 192.168.2.10) I only see those shares assigned to that specific NAS.

PROBLEM:

On the other Unity array (ARRAY2) I have VLAN tagging, I will give examples. I have 2 NAS servers, let's say the following IP below along with shares.

NAS Server 1 (VLAN 10) - 192.168.10.1/24

share A

share B

NAS server 2 (VLAN 11) - 192.168.11.1/24

share C

share D

When I log into 192.168.11.1 via Windows Computer Management and look at the shares, I would expect to see ONLY shares C & D. But yet instead I see C,D,B & A. I ONLY want to see and expect to see C & D.

On the Unity storage (ARRAY1) array that uses no VLANs at all, I can connect to the NAS server and see what would be ONLY the shares specific to the unique NAS Server IP.

Why is this happening?

Hello marshit,

Here is a link to a KB that may help with configuring vlan tagging. https://dell.to/2YjZmTc
