Vipr SRM 4.5 Alert suppression

Hello Imaj1ca,

It is best to disable the alerts on the system before you start the upgrade then reenable them once the update is completed.  Also, it is good to gather a set of logs before you start the upgrade as well just in case there are any issues that come up during the upgrade process.

I need something in Vipr SRM to put the array in maintenance mode during the upgrade, is this possible?

I can't disable the alerts for a particular array type as this will disable alerts for all arrays.

Thanks but I already have the alerting guide which doesn't mention anything about putting a device in maintenance mode.

I guess this facility isn't available in Vipr SRM like it is in other monitoring tools.

It's  shame as it makes it so much easier during routine code upgrades
