Cannot register VCenter
I'm evaluating the Admin Portal for Vrtual Center and having problems registering the VCenter. I provide the IP address and the domain credentials and get the following error:
The following is missing or invalid: ('VCenter IP/HostName'). Enter the correct information and retry.
The IP address is correct and I've also tried the FQDN of the VCenter but still get the same problem. The user ID is correct and the password has not expired. This user ID has full admin rights to the VC and is entered in the format Domain\username.
Can anyone provide some assistance with this please?
Thanks!

Add Administration Portal site in the trusted zone in IE and also import the appliance's SSL/digital certificate in your computer from IE. Then refresh the Administration Portal page and retry registration. This is a known issue with IE9.

What versions of VMware vCenter are you running? And are you running Admin Portal v1.0 from here - http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/beta/vcadminportal? Thanks.

For what is worth, I ran into the same issue with both IE9 and Firefox 7. I sidestepped the problem and succeeded in registering the VMware appliance with the vCenter by using the copy of Apple Safari for Windows that came with iTunes. I guess it does not hurt to have more than one browser installed on your management host :)
