Beginner question: Customized Dashboard

Hello ,

I have multple ESX servers in my environment. I need to create a custom dashbord in Vfoglight having CPU utilization of all the ESX servers in one chart .

At present i am able to add one ESX per chart CPU.JPG

Can anyone help ???

Nishant,

The servers you are interested/not interested in, do they have a special name pattern?

You can set a name filter to include or exclude any servers.

Click upper right corner on your dashboard Options - Edit Properties - Filter

Check Match the following rule: name contains and then type name.

Let us know if this solves your problem.

Nishant,

Instead of grabbing each of the ESX hosts and dragging them onto the dashboard, grab the ESX Host group and drag it out. Then choose the metric option like so:

Hope that helps!

Hello Larry,

Thanks much for your suggestion!  I appreciate your help.

We have more than 100 ESX hosts in the ESX host group.  And in that I need to monitor only 20 - 25 ESX hosts.

Instead of adding 100+ ESX hosts , do we have any alternative of grouping of 20-25 servers that to be monitored CPU /Memory Utilization ?
