Changing/adding Virtual Center instance
We're about to go from VC4.0 to VC4.1.
We're deploying a new 64bit server to support it and for a number of internal reasons we're doing a manual migration of hosts rather than using the datamigration tools.
Long & short is that as of next week we will have a new VC managing our virtual environment and I'll be needing to redirect vFoglight to look at the new VC.
I've been poking through settings and rteading through the docs and have yet to find a clear way to remove the old VC point vFoglight at the new VC.
Can anyone help or point me at a suitable doc for this?

There are a couple ways you can go about this:
1: Reconfigure the VMware agent to point to the new vCenter:
support.quest.com/.../SolutionDetail.aspx
2: Add a 2nd VMware agent (which must be on a different system than the current VMware agent) to allow monitoring of both vCenters during the transition.
vCenters are identified by the address specified in the VMware agent configuration. So if your VMware agent is configured to connect the the FQDN of the vCenter (highly recommended), the vCenter FQDN will be displayed as the identifier. Similarly, if you use IP address for this configuration, the IP address of the vCenter will be used to identify the vCenter. Keep this in mind in case you re-use IP or FQDN addresses during this migration.
Feel free to follow up on this question or submit a support case if you'd like more specific information.
Thanks,
