Guest Process Collection not running under vFoglight 6.6
Hi,
I've notice that the guest process collection isn't working under my current installation of vFoglight. It was running a few weeks ago and when I went to look at a VM server I had this process turned on for it not providing me with any information. I checked my folight agents to see if they were actively collecting data and they are. My question is what else should I check to try and fix this? I would hate to have to call support for something that's simple such as restarting the FGLAM processes.

Justin,
Did you just upgrade to 6.6? Has the FGLAM that the Guest Process Agent is running on been upgraded to the latest version? Navigate to Administration, Agents, Agent Hosts. Click on the FGLAM and see if the upgrade button at the bottom becomes available. Also note the version of the FGLAM. I believe it should be at 5.6.2.1 for vFoglight 6.6.0.
Check under agent status under the same agents section and verify that the guest process agent is visable on a FGLAM and that it is not in a broken state. You can try to stop data collection and renable data collection for the agent. You may also want to pull the log by using the Get Log button on this screen and see where an error may be occuring.

The FGLAM was running correctly and the collector was collecting data as it should. I wound up calling support and the issue was a registry rights issue with the VMware server we were trying to collect guess process information from. That VM was a Windows server 2008 R2 server and we had to allow the local administrator account full rights to the following registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{76A64158-CB41-11D1-8B02-00600806D9B6}
Since make the changes found here:

The guess processing has been working fully. Thanks for your help Brandon.
