Set alerts for vcenter Database
Hi,
Recetly I added our vcenter SQL DB under SQL Database catridge in vFoglight pro 6.7. The main intent of adding it is to monitor the vcenter DB and log size. I would like to set an alert if the DB size exeeds 30 GB limit. I am not seeing any related rules in vfoglight to accomplish this. Please help if anybody have any idea on set vcenter DB related alerts.

According to the Rules section in the Managing SQL Server Database Systems Monitor Refererence Guide, there are out-of-the-box rules that monitor the DB data size and log file size:
Fixed Data File Used
Foglight for SQL Server fires an alarm when a fixed size data file in any database almost fills its predefined capacity, and the file cannot automatically grow enough to resolve this issue.
Fixed Log File Used
Foglight for SQL Server fires an alarm when a fixed size log file in any database almost fills its predefined capacity, and the file cannot automatically grow enough to resolve this issue.
Perhaps these meet your needs or could be adjusted to meet your needs?
