Share Dashboard without login

I would like to publish a couple of dashboards for users that don't log into vFoglight.

Is there a way to do this?

I've done a couple of quick google searches and come up empty.

Thanks!

What you are looking for is called having a NoLoginUser in Foglight.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Golan

Excellent video, thanks - this is a very useful feature that I can see us using!

I've created the NoLoginUser user as detailed within the video and also http://communities.quest.com/thread/11425, but I always get an error when trying the URL:

    Error.JPG

I can log in as NoLoginUser with the correct password and access this dashboard, so I assume permissions and credentials are correct, but I can't access the page using the URL.  I'm using http:// :8080/console/foglight_ext?viewid=system:foo.54 which should be the correct address for the dashboard as per both the video and the other page.  I've also tried using http:// .quest.local:8080/console/foglight_ext?viewid=system:foo.54 , but neither seems to work.

    Any pointers?

We're using vFoglight 6.7 (5.6.4) on Windows x86_64, and have tried both Firefox 18.0.2 and IE 8.0.

    Thanks

The nologinuser has to have rights to the page you are trying to share out.  Check the definition of who is allowed to see it.  You might need to add the nologinuser to some groups/roles.

    Hi Thomas

Thanks for your reply.  The NoLoginUser already belongs to the same groups (Console User and a custom group) that a particular user has.  This user can login and view the dashboard and the NoLoginUser can also login (via the standard login page) and view the dashboard, so the permissions should be fine I would have thought (plus it proves the user name and password have been entered correctly).  It's only when I try to use the URL that the error appears and it happens on both IE and Firefox.  As far as I can see, the address is correct, too.
