Total Memory / Memory Use
Hi guys,
I've recently installed vFoglight to monitor my test environment which consists of 3 ESX host running vSphere4 Update1.
I would like help in understanding the Memory Utilization box in VMExplorer.
Basically, I have 3 ESX servers with 32GB RAM each, therefore 96GB RAM in total
Memory Use on vFoglight shows that I'm using 85% of this.... now does this mean that I'm acutally using 85% or just allocated out 85% to the VM's.
In the Memory Utilization box there is:
Active Memory which is showing as 10.4GB Active
Ballooned is showing as 5.8GB
Shared is showing as 78.5GB
Any help would be much appreciated.

Therefore I'm assuming that the 85% 'Memory Use' is actually only allocated?
Please confirm

i second that,i cant undrestand the Vm ware termilogu for memory .
