ABI Network present in Add-remove programs.

Hi,
I've run nail fix  and ewido per the instructions on the Hijack This boards.  ABI is still present in add remove programs.  it does not seem to be effecting any thing else.  If I go to uninstall, it opens a browser page and tells me to go to their web site for removal softwear.

I have McAfee up to date. SBs&d. adwareSE, HSremove, cwshredder, stinger, plvx2cleaner, CCleaner and killbox.

Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome,

To remove that ABI from you system go to ABI removal. The removal tool is there. After that post a fresh HJT log here. The log doesn't look bad at first glance.

I have read posts that say that the ABI Removal tool from the ABI site loads more spyware and does not remove the Direct Access malware stuff from your computer.  Isn't there another way to get rid of it?

Thanks for your quick response

Sorry but I am not familiar with Direct Access. Since the header of your post mentioned ABI that was why I sent you to that site.

You're going to have to send me some info on what Direct Access is. I'll also Google it and see what I find out.

Let's continue on with the fix...

Run HiJackThis and click " Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9366BA69-A4CC-B6D8-620F-F0E1D0638C8C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\cdapp\lcrbyliqtq.dll (file missing)

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
... (Unless you've set these with a anti-spyware program like SpyBot's Immunize feature, have HiJackThis fix this.)

O16 - DPF: {42F2C9BA-614F-47C0-B3E3-ECFD34EED658} (Installer Class) - http://www.ysbweb.com/ist/softwares/v4.0/ysb_pictures.cab

Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click " Fix checked".

Reboot and post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

My mistake... ABI is associated with Direct Revenue and abetterinternet as listed on the site you gave me.   ABI is the program I am trying to remove form add remove programs.  Are you sure their free 'software removal porgram' is safe?

I eliminated two of the three, I use spybot's immunize.

Thanks again

Yes I am sure their site is safe.

I have sent many people there, others have done the same with no negative reprecussions, it just removes their applications.
