Exploit-byteverify trojan

mcafree popped up saying i had this so i virus scanned and it came up then when the virus scan finished i cleaned out of cookies, history, cache and went to delete/clean and quarantine the exploit-byteverify and it says the file was not found, does that mean i got rid of it?

also, they say to turn off system restore to make sure it doesn't come back.. is that a good thing to do? i'm new at this so im not sure if i should do it or not because it doesn't save anything you do.. also also does anyone know how much damage this torjan can cause

Hi

I would say it`s probably gone. Mcafee says it is low risk.

I had a few of those and did what you did and cleaned out temp files etc. I

ran a scan and it was gone. If you don`t any other problems then go ahead a turn off

systems restore, restart and then turn it back on. Good luck
