How do you know - malicious scripts - well that is a hard question. The main answer for this would be - if you downloaded a program from that site would you run it without checking it for virus's.
The answer would then be different depending on the site that you are on - if it was a MS or Dell site I would say yes let it run - if it was at a known malware site I would say no, and any other sites somewhere inbetween.
