Windows 11 Weirdness

I was recently offered and accepted the version 23H2 update to Windows 11. Since then, I have received no junk email, and previously deleted junk emails don't show up in the Junk folder of Outlook.  Normally, this would be a blessing, but sometimes a valid message shows up in that folder and I like to have the ability to review and delete them myself. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess Redmond is starting to force these updates going forward , from what I read.

Also, when pressing the File Explorer icon, the screen that appears now has a "Home" label on the right hand side of the pane, and the words "select a single file to get more information and to share your cloud content." I'm unable remove or resize this new pane but otherwise File Explorer works as before.

Otherwise, things are looking good and I have found Windows 11 and Edge suits my needs and are easy to work with. MBAM Premium is the default AV and Windows Defender is available for occasional scans. Windows Firewall appears to be adequate, and Spyware Blaster and SAS are still used.
