Chargeback or Showback
I was curious if anyone was doing chargeback or showback for storage on their VMAX arrays? If so, how are you associating devices on the vmax with a cost center or department for later reporting?

I'm currently using ProSphere for tracking/showback. You can place tags on devices, then query those into reports. For example, I have a Linux host that has two TDEVs from an FC Thin Pool, and two VDEVs that snap to a SATA Thin Pool. I tag production LUNs with one set of tags (PROD, DB, etc.) and Backup or Archive LUNs with another set of tags (SNAP, BKUP, etc.). I can then run simple reports on a per-host basis, and show all the LUNs allocated with those tags, then assemble them for reports.
ProSphere is sufficient for my needs, as I don't need the more advanced/expensive reporting in the Watch4Net Suite. Most hosts have less than 100 TDEVs, so this is sufficient for me.
